Foundational Seminar

This seminar introduces the fundamental skills of critical reading, reflection, and academic writing. Students read and discuss the instructor's writings on artistic practice and research papers, examining the questions and ideas presented in these texts. Through reading, discussion, and short writing assignments, students learn to understand different perspectives, develop their own questions and interpretations, and communicate their ideas clearly and logically.

Specialized Seminar I & II

This seminar introduces the fundamental methods of academic research and writing. Students learn how to formulate research questions based on their own interests, locate and analyze relevant literature, use citations and references appropriately, and construct logical arguments. By engaging with research materials and previous studies, students develop the ability to critically examine their questions and support their ideas with evidence. The seminar also encourages students to connect artistic practice with research and articulate their creative processes and ideas through writing.

Graduation Research I & II

This course brings together students' previous learning, artistic practice, and research to develop a systematic and logically structured investigation of a self-defined research question. Students analyze relevant materials and previous studies, organize their findings and interpretations into an introduction, main body, and conclusion, and complete their graduation thesis. Through writing and revision, students strengthen their ability to critically examine and communicate their ideas. The course also provides a foundation for continuing independent research beyond graduation by fostering an ongoing dialogue between artistic practice and theoretical inquiry.
