《スターダスト》は、亡くなった祖父の遺品のなかから見つかった、祖母が撮影した写真をもとにした作品です。捨てられそうになっていた写真には、祖母の目を通して見つめられた、日々の何気ない瞬間が残されています。

 

時を経て、作家は同じ写真を自分自身の目で見つめます。祖母と孫、異なる時代を生きる二人のまなざしが、写真を通して静かに重なります。  

 

写真を選び、並べ直すことで、それぞれのまなざしが新たな関係を結んでいきます。夜空に散らばる星々のように、一枚一枚の写真が記憶の星座を描き、過去と現在をゆるやかにつないでいきます。

STAR DUST began with a collection of photographs taken by the artist's grandmother, found among the belongings of his late grandfather. These photographs, once nearly discarded, hold moments of everyday life as seen through his grandmother's eyes.

Years later, the artist looks at these same photographs through his own eyes. Two ways of seeing, separated by time, gently come together.

By selecting and rearranging the photographs, the artist brings these different perspectives into conversation. Like stars scattered across the night sky, the images form a quiet constellation of memories, connecting the past with the present.
